7/14/08 We have all had nasty colds except for Esther which has been good. Tiny babies with colds are just scary no matter what. She sleeps on her side and usually flips to her belly by morning. Her average sleep time currently is between six and eight hours. For 4 months, that's pretty amazing. Mom is not complaining. Esther has now decided toys are really cool so she spends a lot of time talking to and tasting her toys. Levi would like to have them all for himself. Worms that twist and make clicking sounds are pretty desireable in your late 2's especially when they belong to your little sister. I forsee a lot of toy conflict in the not to distant future. |

| 6/17/08 As Esther starts to respond more and can sit up and check stuff out, things become more interesting. She has started to think that standing up is pretty cool (not by herself) | ![]() |
| 6/3/08 This is not specifically an Esther shot but it is her with her cousin Avaley and Levi and their minders. | ![]() |
| 5/18/08 Here is a newer set of shots that shows a few expressions. She usually sleeps several hours through the nights now, but does not have an even schedule otherwise, you never know what you will get. | ![]() |
| 5/12/08 | ![]() |
| 5/9/08 You can now usually get Esther to give you a grin and to "talk"to you if she has been fed withen the last half an hour. | |
| 4/22/08 Not a lot is new in Esther's world this week but Carmen did get this picture of a typical pose. | ![]() |
| 4/16/08 So Esther has gained 14% over her original body weight and definitely looks like it. In between the usual activities she will look around for a bit and give us a grin to say all is well. | |
| 4/9/08 So we are winding up the first month. Today was dad's first full day with both children and that is going smooth so far, thanks to some tips from mom. | |
| 4/2/08 All is well here, Esther us eating a ton and getting perceptibly bigger. She eats, sleeps, and hollers, like most healthy babies. I video taped her crying and Levi thought the resulting video was hilarious. | ![]() |
| 3/17/08 After first doctorrs appointment, all is well with Esther and we haven't caught Levi's cold so thats all good | |
| 3/14/08 So we are home and getting used to things. We are working to try to get enough food into her so that she will start growing and I think that we have turned a corner so that's good. | ![]() |
| 3/12/08 Semi Official announcement: Esther Ruth Wilmot was born 6am 3/11/2008. She weighed 3.9 kilos and was 51cm long at birth. Mom and baby were healthy through the whole process and are scheduled to come home tomorrow. | ![]() |
| 3/10/08 O.K. now we have something going on. We are going to the doctors in a few moments here, and we may or may not go directly up to the hospital from there but either way we will very likely have the baby out within 2 days at most. | |
| 3/9/08 So we are still here, we missed leap year, missed the due date, missed a couple snow storms (but it is snowing again now), at this rate we'll hit Easter. There are 3 family birthdays we could hit within the next 5 days, so we'll see. | |
| 2/24/08 Here is a pic of Baby's mother all ready to go. We realized that we had almost no pictures of Mommy before the last big event. | ![]() |
| 2/20/08 So two weeks ago there were these really hard contractions and such, we went to the doctors and she said the the baby could easily come within a week or two. Then everything got quiet, which is good because we not nearly ready. Baby still pokes around and causes trouble but no sign of an imminent birth process. So maybe we will be on schedule for the Mar. 8th after all. Carmen says the sooner the better, but we are only half way there on possible names, so we are working on it. | |

11/14/2007 We are finally posting this announcement, partially because up till now we haven't had any evidence to show, but today Carmen had her ultrasound so we have officially seen the new baby. As always it is amazing to see the wee one moving around in there. God willing, Carmen will be due right around the middle of March. Pictures |
